You can calculate your due date below, by entering the first day of your last period, date of the IVF transfer or estimated conception date.
Note on your due date
Your estimated due date may change. For example, when you make an ultrasound of your baby, your doctor will see the baby’s development stage and can adjust the due date accordingly. It is more likely to happen if you have an irregular cycle or a cycle which is longer than 28 days.
Note on your due date calculation
Normal pregnancy lasts from 37 to 42 weeks from the first day of the last period. The estimation above assumes that your pregnancy will last exactly 40 weeks from the conception date, however only one in 20 women deliver on the estimated day. If you deliver between the 37th and 42nd week, your child is considered full-term and your pregnancy is normal.
To calculate the due date based on the conception date, we add 38 weeks or 266 days. Note, that the conception day can differ from the date when you had sex, as sperm can live up to five days inside your body before you conceive. If you know the day when you ovulated, it gives you a good precision to calculate your conception date. If you used IVF to conceive, the conception date is the IVF transfer date.
If you are not sure when you conceived, you can enter the first date of your last period. We will add 40 weeks or 280 days to calculate your due date. This is based on the assumption that you have a regular period with 28 days cycle.
If you used IVF, you can calculate ovulation based on the date of eggs retrieval (with or without ICSI) or the date of transfer of an embryo or blastocyst. We will add 255, 253 or 261 days, respectively.
